The desire to become a permanent deacon may be influenced by many different persons and factors. It is the role of the Diocesan Director and the staff of the Office of the Permanent Diaconate to be of service in helping a prospective candidate discern this call from the Lord. Therefore, it’s imperative that a prospective candidate be in contact with the Office of the Permanent Diaconate of the Diocese of Marquette, 1004 Harbor Hills Dr. Marquette, MI 49855; Phone (906) 227-9107
The process is as follows:
The prospective candidate should contact the Director of Permanent Diaconate and set up a meeting.
A second meeting with the Director of Permanent Diaconate with the prospective candidate and his spouse at their home.
If things go well with these interviews an application will be sent to the prospective candidate to be filled out and sent the the Permanent Diaconate Office.
