The Department of Evangelization, Education, and Youth Ministry equips Catholics in the Diocese of Marquette with training and resources to grow in friendship with Jesus, invest in relationships with others, and invite those in their circles of influence to discover and follow Christ.
We do this in the following key areas of ministry:
We equip Catholics in the Diocese of Marquette with the attitudes, habits, and skills to grow in holiness and make disciples in everyday life.
This Department works with a few pastors at a time to implement a process of mission formation for lay people to initiate and own their personal apostolate in their circle of influence.We equip catechists in parishes and Catholic schools with formation and resources to follow Jesus in everyday life, proclaim the Gospel, and initiate others into the mysteries of God.
This Department oversees catechetical programs in parishes and Catholic schools; preparation for the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation; and the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA).We equip youth ministers and their teams with formation and training in the components of comprehensive youth ministry, so they can empower youth to live as disciples of Jesus, participate responsibly in the Church, and grow personally and spiritually.
This Department works with a few pastors and parish teams at a time, and organizes and supports events that achieve these goals.
